In my 20's I left playing team sports behind to take on a new challenge of endurance adventures. Over the years I have cycled thousands of miles across continents on long distance bike rides, have spent weeks on remote mountaineering expeditions in the Arctic, and most recently tackling my first Ultra-Marathon.
But every adventure had a trade off, my unprepared body took a beating, causing niggles and injury. I experienced back ache and knee pain for many years, as well as a knee injury at 32 years old. It left me questioning how long I could continue my sports and wondering what I could do about it.
Since then I have poured my passion for sport into understanding our biomechanics. Using evidence based training to strengthen the body to fix imbalances, prevent injury and boost longevity, so we can enjoy what we love to do for years to come.
